It seems to be Jia Ling's persistent effort has borne its organic products, as "Just go for it" (recently revealed as "Hot and Zesty") has been named the greatest Lunar New Year film in China.
The film, which sees the female comedienne shedding heaps of weight - around 50 kg - to play a fighter, procured RMB 2.7 billion (approx. USD 363 million) in the cinema world since its delivery recently.
In the mean time, the runner up goes to "Pegasus 2", the spin-off of the hit vehicle dashing satire, which acquired RMB 2.39 billion. This is trailed by energized include, "Boonie Bears: Time Curve" at RMB 1.389 billion.
In "Consequences be damned", Jia Ling plays Le Ying, a jobless lady in her 30s whose life changes after she meets a boxing trainer. The film was helmed by the comedienne herself, who recently made her first time at the helm with "Hey, Mother".
The entertainer purportedly lost 50 kilograms of weight to assume the part in the new film, embracing a focused energy wellness technique that constructed her endurance as well as gave her muscular strength.
