Bangladesh: Police are on high alert in the capital around the students' protest program on Saturday. Protestors under the banner of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will protest across the country on Saturday. At the same time, an indefinite non-cooperation movement has been called from Sunday. On this day, policemen were seen taking alert positions in Pragati Sarani, Jamuna Future Park, and the Bashundhara Gate area of ​​the capital.

A policeman on duty said: "Our members are stationed here to ensure overall security. Several of our teams are working here. We are stationed here with full preparations to ensure security." The protesting students said that on Saturday the protest program will be held in every neighbourhood and place across the country. From then on all-out non-cooperation movement will be observed.

Violence has been happening in different parts of the country since July 16, centred on the quota reform movement. The government has confirmed the death of 150 people in these incidents so far. However, this number is claimed to be more than 200 in various media.
