Akterul Alam Tinu, Bangladesh: Today (April 21) is the seventh passing commemoration of country's famous vocalist and music writer Lucky Akhand.

Brought into the world on 18 June 1956, the eminent artiste began his expert music profession with self-named independent collection "Lucky Akhand" in 1984 under the flag of Sargam. A portion of the eminent melodies of that collection are "Agey Jodi Jantam", "Amay Dekona", "Mamonia", "Ei Neel Monihar" and "Hridoy Amar".

He likewise has made numerous well known hit numbers, including "Abar Elo Je Sondha", "Ke Bashi Bajaire", "Shadhinota Tomake Niye", "Pahari Jhorna", "Nothing Shari Pore" and "Hothat Kore Bangladesh". Lucky Akhand halted his profession after the passing of his more youthful sibling Jesmin Akhand in 1987. He returned following 10 years with two collections named "Porichoy Kobe Hobe" and "Bitrishna Jibone Amar" in 1998.

"Porichoy Kobe Hobe" was his second independent collection and the change of his sibling Lucky Akhand's independent collection. "Bitrishna Jibone Amar" was a band and current blend collection. Six vocalists James, Ayub Bachchu, Hasan, Kumar Biswajit, Tapan Chowdhury and Samina Chowdhury sang together in this collection. Lucky Akhand died on 21 April in 2017.
