The Indian Railroads has requested an examination after a cargo train voyaged more than 70km (43.4 miles) without drivers. Recordings shared via online entertainment showed the train zooming past a few stations at high velocity.

Reports say the train ran without a driver from Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir to Hoshiarpur locale in Punjab on Sunday. The railroads says the train was stopped and nobody was harmed. Authorities told the Press Trust of India (PTI) news organization that the occurrence occurred somewhere in the range of 7:25 and 09:00 nearby time (01:55 and 3:30 GMT) on Sunday.

The 53-caravan, conveying chip stones, was en route to Punjab from Jammu when it halted in Kathua for an adjustment of team. Authorities say it started dropping down an incline on the rail line tracks after the train driver and his collaborator got off.

The train moved at a speed of almost 100km/h and figured out how to cross around five stations before it was halted. Not long after being cautioned about the moving train, authorities shut off rail line intersections along its way.

"The train was halted after a rail line official put wood blocks on the tracks to stop the train," authorities told PTI. The wooden blocks diminished the speed of the train. Authorities told PTI they are attempting to distinguish the specific justification behind the train's development after it halted at Kathua to keep away from such episodes later on.
